Marcus Borg

Marcus Borg is the Hundere Distinguished Professor of Religion at Oregon State University. He is a frequent lecturer around the country at universities, seminaries, churches, and retreat centers. He is the author of several books, including the best-seller "Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time," "The Meaning of Jesus: Two Visions" (with N.T. Wright), and "The God We Never Knew" (Bible).

Diana Butler Bass

Diana Butler Bass is an author, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in American religion and culture.  She holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of six books including the best-selling Christianity for the Rest of Us, released by Harper One in 2006.  That book was named as one of the best religion books of the year by Publishers Weekly and Christianity Century, won the Book of the Year Award from the Academy of Parish Clergy, and was featured in a cover story in USA TODAY. She is currently Senior Fellow at the Cathedral College of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

Rev. Elizabeth Rickert Dowdy, who will lead the closing worship service, is a graduate of Candler School of Theology, Emory University.  She pastors Tar Wallet Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church, both located in Cumberland, Va.  For those who recall her condition last January, she is a new mom.  Rozelia Elizabeth Dowdy was born in May.
